Giorgio Armani has turned to the seductive power of the sea in positioning his latest women’s fragrance, Acqua di Gioia. Saint Tropez

Acqua di Gioia by Giorgio Armani is a floral fragrance for women. Acqua di Gioia is a new fragrance and it was introduced in 2010. The noses behind this fragrance are Loc Dong, Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion. Top notes are amalfi lemon and mint; middle notes are jasmine, pink pepper and peony; base notes are french labdanum, virginia cedar and sugar. The perfume was composed by three perfumers: Loc Dong, Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion of IFF.

The aquatic perfume, whose bottle was inspired by both the shape of a drop of water and that of a woman, opens on notes of crushed mint leaves and Limone Primo Fiore Femminello, sourced in Calabria, Italy. The heart rests on notes of pink pepper, aquatic jasmine and dewy peony. The base deepens with cedarwood heart, brown sugar and labdanum. The latter note was used for its animalic facet.

The advertising features a woman with an animalic aura on a background of virgin forest and giant water fall, like a vision of Eden.
